Physicians Imaging has adopted a profitable full-service radiology model designed to attain profitable operating results and an enviable reputation for service that can be duplicated in population centers elsewhere.
Marketing To simplify the opening of centers, marketing efforts will be focused in states where there is the possibility of opening one or two centers per month. The following marketing areas have been identified: — Florida Ideal community characteristics include a minimum service area population of 75,000, an adequate reimbursement profile, limited competition, and solid physician support.
Diagnostic Centers Physicians Imaging desires to execute a 15 to 20 year lease with up to 6,000 sq. ft. for a diagnostic center which would have the capability to do MRI’s, CT-Scans, X-ray’s, Dexa-scan and a broad range of Ultrasound procedures with the infrastructure in place to accommodate a PET-scan on a mobile/rental basis. Physicians Imaging desires to operate in a facility that also houses office space for healthcare providers: orthopedics, internal medicine, pulmonary, ENT, gastroenterology, gynecology, and obstetrics, plastic surgery, urology, pediatrics, psychiatry, dentistry, ophthalmology, sleep lab, chiropractic and other medical specialties. Related services include a laboratory, physical rehabilitation center, and medical supplies store.
Center Location and Space Requirements Proximity to patients’ homes and physician offices. Street exposure with adequate signage. A building of about 10,000 sq. ft. to house a diagnostic center and its medical directors.

Establishing Diagnostic Centers Using a Physician Friendly Approach

Where an existing building is unavailable, land already zoned commercial that does not have site-related problems will be considered for development based on Physicians Imaging’s existing site plans and                       architectural blueprints. A site large enough to accommodate additional physician offices and a  leased PET-scan one or two days a week is preferred. Sufficient land to meet long- term parking needs.
